Will started his career in the offshore oil & gas sector as a geologist before completing postgraduate studies in engineering geology and geotechnics. His previous engineering consultancy experience has included earthwork and slope stability inspections on Network Rail infrastructure and as the designers site representative on a large new infrastucture project.

At Byland Will has developed his expertise in the design of working platforms, piles, walls, ground anchors and soil nails.

In 2013 Will became a chartered geologist with the Geological Society and a UK Registered Ground Engineering Professional. He became a director of Byland in 2015.
